Based on different molding material, molds can be devided into metal molds and non-metal molds, metal molds include casting molds and stamping die, non-metal molds are mainly plastic molds.
Plastic molds and stamping die occupy big proportion and has reached market scale of 63 billion and 52 billion respectively in China, and is 45% and 37% of molds industry, plastic molds are mainly used for plastic part molding, and stamping die is mainly used for metal products molding.
Benifited from rapid development of downstream auto, electronics and plastic products since 2003, mold industry in China get obvious deveopment. the revenue of aluminum molds increased from 14 billion in 2003 to 140 billion in 2010, increased 9 times during 8 years, reaching annual average increasing rate over 28%, the financial crisis only slow down increasing rate to 12.5%, far high from increasing rate of GDP. Therefore, mold development is promising in China.
